Kanye is being sued by a songwriter in Maryland, who is accusing him of stealing his hit song the “Good Life.” Songwriter/producer Dayna “D’Mystro” Staggs is Suing West for copyright infringement. He claims that West failed to “obtain a license” to sample his record “Volume of Good Life.”
In legal papers filed in Maryland District Court last week, Staggs admits that West was "only six or seven years of age (sic)" when his song was written. But his main objection is to the "vulgar and offensive" images associated with the song, that was featured on West's third album "Graduation," he claims the song "harms the reputation" of his inoffensive tune.
He is demanding 85 per cent of all world sales of the proceeds from "Good Life," but he hasn’t currently stated how he has come to that figure.
~Well Well Well…ain’t that bout a ______. Hasn’t Kanye gone through enough this year? First his mother passed, then they didn’t let him in shows at Paris’ Fashion week, and now THIS…please give the man a break~
