JOHN MCCAIN & SARAH PALIN: HISTORY MAKERS OR POLITICAL MOCKERS... YOU DECIDE

Well I can’t say that John McCain picking Sarah Palin as his Vice President came as a surprise to me. In fact, I figured that he would pull a dramatic move to get more media attention and more votes. The thing that makes me laugh though is that he is so predictable. All of the women in his life, including his new VP are cookie cutter pageant participants.

It should be noted that Sarah Palin has made great strides as a woman in the political arena. Not only would she be (in the unlikely case that McCain wins) the FIRST female Vice-President, but she has already made history as the first woman to become Governor of Alaska.

However, I doubt this move will encourage more people to go out and vote for him. His decision seems more superficial than actually dealing with the true issue- who is better equipped to assist him with running the United States?

Remember that this race is about our future, our children’s future, and our economy… so it offends me when candidates, like John McCain, make a mockery of our political process and attempt to turn it into a popularity contest.

What did you think about this decision?

REALLY CHAD OCHO CINCO? THIS DUDE!!!

Yes, yes, yes, the rumors are in fact true; Chad Johnson has changed his name to “Chad Javon Ocho Cinco.” Leaving me to say: this dude is off the Richter scale with his insaneness.

Chad first coined himself as Ochos Cinco two years ago. And for those of you who didn’t pay attention in Spanish Ochos Cinco is 85, representing Chad’s jersey number. He even had the balls to put it on the back of his jersey before a game, but quarterback Carson Palmer ripped it off before kick off.

Since it is “officially” his last name, I guess no one can complain about him displaying it proudly. But, I’m sure this won’t help his relationship that he has with his coaches who already dislike him. When the season ended, coach Marvin Lewis referred to Chad as “Ocho Psycho.”

According to Chad, the name change isn’t a crazy move it’s just enjoying life and having fun.

Here’s what he had to say on the teams website: “It’s something I don’t think anyone has ever done before. Have I ever had a reason for why I do what I do? I’m having fun.”

Well Chad Ocho Cinco have your fun. I can’t wait to see what name will be displayed on the back of your jersey during the season opener game against Baltimore!!!

FAT JOE CALLS DADDY YANKEE A "SELLOUT"joe

After reading this article on mtv.com I gained a new found respect for Fat Joe. Below is what he had to say about Daddy Yankee endorsing John McCain as the best candidate for Latino’s:

***I know the article is long but Fat Joe hits some good points that I highlighted in white***

Daddy Yankee’s Comment:

"I believe in his [John McCain] ideals and his proposals to lead this nation," Yankee said. "He's been a fighter for the Hispanic community."

Fat Joe’s Response:

"Put this in the MTV News headline: 'Fat Joe Says Daddy Yankee Is a Sellout,' “the MC said via phone from Denver, where he's attending the Democratic National Convention. "Just like that! I gotta go in. I'm talking to little cousins that like [Yankee] and all that, and they're starting to believe that John McCain is [the best candidate]. I can't have that.

"I opened the newspaper and got sick to my stomach," Joe continued. "I felt like I wanted to vomit when I seen that. The reason why I called him a sellout is because I feel he did that for a [publicity] look, rather than the issues that are affecting his people that look up to him. How could you want John McCain in office when George Bush and the Republicans already have half a million people losing their homes in foreclosure? We're fighting an unjust war. It's the Latinos and black kids up in the frontlines, fighting that war. ... We over here trying to take the troops out of Iraq and bring peace. This guy immediately wants war. If not with Iraq or Afghanistan, he'll start a new one with Iran. I feel real disgusted that Daddy Yankee would do that. Either he did that for a look, or he's just not educated on politics."

Joe said he's more than willing to educate Yankee on each of the politicians' platforms.
"If he believes John McCain is the better candidate for the Latinos," Joe said, "we could sit down. Even if he wants to get into a debate, we can debate anywhere — New York, Puerto Rico."
The Grammy-nominated lyricist is especially enthralled with Obama's promise for improved and universal health care. That issue still hits home for the rap veteran.

"Like I said, with me, my whole philosophy on blacks and Latinos is: We're all one," he said.

"We're in the same ghettos, same inner cities, and we're suffering from the same problems. Every problem the blacks have, the Latinos have. There's two systems of health care: the one for the rich that's really good, then there's the one for the inner city, where they leave ladies in the emergency room unattended for 24 hours until they drop dead. ... People don't even check on her hours after she's dead. This is normal stuff. This is what's happening in the U.S."

Joe blames inferior health care for a tragedy he and his family suffered years ago.
"My own sister — to me she was murdered by doctors," he claimed. "She was having a baby in the Bronx, and they gave her an epidural — a normal procedure that was supposed to numb her from the waist down. They numbed her from the waist up, because they had amateurs learning in the Bronx hospitals. Not even real doctors — students murdered my sister in the inner city, in the Bronx. I love what Barack is doing with the heath care system. Once he gets universal health care for everybody, then we gotta step up our system to make it the best in the world."

He was moved by speeches on consecutive evenings by Hillary and Bill Clinton.

"That was beautiful, man," he said. "I'm a huge fan of the Clintons. I love Hillary; I love Bill. They hit home runs out the park. I was so excited when Bill was speaking. It reminded me of why I love him. He's articulate, so smart. Greatest president of our era. When he was here, we had peace. Yasser Arafat of Palestine and the prime minister of Israel, shaking hands and hugging, bringing peace in the Middle East, not war! Everybody had jobs. The economy was growing. George Bush and the Republicans turned the whole country around to where our dollar is worth half the Euro dollar. Your man John McCain wants to continue the same tactics of the Bush organization. Why should my man Daddy Yankee be endorsing McCain?

This is the only urban guy in the universe to endorse John McCain. You got people who look up to [Yankee] — young teenagers that look up to him and might make the wrong choice. John McCain is the wrong thing to do. I don't think the Republicans care much about minorities. I can't believe [Yankee] went and endorsed this guy."

Fat Joe would also like to change the perception of his country in the eyes of the rest of the world.

"I travel the world doing shows, and people hate the United States because of the policies of George Bush," he explained. "Years ago, you would go overseas, and the people would praise you and love the United States. I feel Barack Obama is the one person who could bring not just the United States, but the world together. I was in Africa two days ago, and I seen people with 'I Love Obama' on their bumper sticker. He just spoke to 200,000 people in Germany."

Now more than ever, Joe said he realizes the importance of participating in this upcoming election.

"Fat Joe says it's not an option to vote," he insisted. "We have to vote and change this country around. Everybody has to get out there and register. I'm not asking, I'm telling you to go vote. I'm forcing you."

A rep for Daddy Yankee said the MC is out of the country and won't be available for comment until next week.

NEW YORK GOES TO HOLLYWOOD

I’m not sure if you follow New York Goes to Hollywood like I do, but the most recent episode tells me that this rumor that she may be in a movie with Will Smith just might be true.

In last weeks episode Tiffany Pollard met her manager and a movie caster at her manager’s ranch. After the movie caster reminded Tiffany that her pushy mother will hinder her career, she told Tiffany that there was a role that she might cast her for in a movie that actually has A-Listers.
According to our sources, Tiffany is being considered for a role in The Trial of the Chicago 7, which stars Will Smith. Now, that my friends is pretty big time.
Like the caster said on the show, the role will not be a leading one, but hey at least she might be on the big screen!!!

DANITY KANE DRAMA... IS DAWN GOING SOLO???

I caught this story off another blog site so don't hold it as the truth...but it is interesting. According to theybf.com an insider has leaked information to them that Dawn is going solo and leaving the Dollhouse behind.

Now this story does make some sense. If you think back to Dawn's birthday party none of the other members of Danity Kane came. Also, if you saw the TRL show where Danity Kane played Making the Band games against Day 26, Dawn was at the forefront and acted as the leader of the group. To add more juice to this solo idea, Dawn has hired her own personal publicist.

Maybe she is going solo...maybe this is all a rumor... but either way check out what this "illiterate" source had to say (and I did not edit the sources comments because I wanted you to see the level of intelligence yourself.)

To sum it up it’s the girls (D. Woods, Aubrey, Aundrea & Shannon - not as much) against Diddy and Dawn. They found out and believe that Diddy was doing some real shady stuff with Dawn on the side! Not on the sexual tip, but flying her to him for private minutes and whatnot, basically putting together her solo project behind the rest of there’s back. Of course Aubrey has been the mouth piece in how jacked up it is and has rallied D. Woods against Dawn; hence none of them showing up to her bday party or them giving her the middle school cafeteria treatment at the recent party. Of course Diddy doesn’t care, he wants Dawn to be the star (which is why last season of MTB showed mostly her and you rarely saw the other girls) and even now he still has Dawn and only Dawn going out to do promotions on behalf of Danity Kane. If you go to Dawn’s myspace page, so does have some “newer” solo material up…I can’t say I’m 100 on that’s what she has been doing with Puff but it is definitely her own material. Bad Boy is keeping it hush hush because they still want Dawn to seem like the sweet and innocent one, which she may be….but the rest of D.K. are still pretty pissy because they don’t believe she is the most talented and are heated that she would go along with Puff and do recordings, meetings, and press without letting “her girls/her sisters” know about it.

~I will keep you posted~

KIM K IS SHOWING REGGIE BUSH SOME NEW MOVES

Kim K recently told Usmagazine.com that she is showoing off her new Dancing with the Stars dance moves to her boo Reggie Bush.

How does she do it since they’re in two different cities?

“When I first started [rehearsing], I put him on iChat because he's in New Orleans right now [with the Saints]."

"I went to New Orleans a few days ago... just for the night," she said. "I have a brace that helps me with my posture and I was wearing it and he was looking at me like I was crazy.

"And I was like, 'No, you've got to do all these steps with me,'" she says. "So, I was doing my full dance in front of him, but it's hard because I kind of have to teach him and I'm just learning myself - so I couldn't confuse him.

"He gets so excited," Kardashian added.

He's gotten so excited that he promised to join her in the dance studio.

"He's coming in town for one day and he's going to spend the day rehearsing with me and see what it's like," she says.

~Isn’t that sweet~

REHAB REPORT: DAVID DUCHOVNY JUST CHECKED IN

I always thought there was no such thing as a sex rehab clinic but I guess I was WRONG.

Actor David Duchovny entered a facility to treat his sexual compulsion and his wife of 10 years, actress Tea Leoni, is sticking with him.

According to David, he “voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."

Too much sex?!?!?! … I guess that really is a problem especially if you have to go to rehab for it.

I wonder did he want it every hour, three times a day, or was he just into risque acts.
IDK… what do you think makes a person a sex addict? You can post your response below anonymously!

CHECK OUT PEPA DENTON'S INTERVIEW WITH ESSENCE

Pepa Denton, being the hustler that she is, is coming out with her autobiography. However, instead of focusing on specific moments in her life she is crafting her autobiography to reflect a tell-all book.

Check out some of the juicy details that she told Essence magazine:

Interviewer: You detail your stormy marriage to Anthony 'Treach' Criss, from Naughty by Nature, and the years of abuse he put you through. Have you ever had an opportunity to talk to him, post-divorce, about how it affected you?

PEPA: No, and honestly, he's the one person I'm nervous about reading this, but I had to do it. How do I not tell that part of my life story? This book is not so much about my abuse, but my road to recovery.

Interviewer: For years, there had been industry whisperings about you and Treach's tumultuous marriage. Has he ever reached out to you to apologize?

PEPA: No, and I want to make it clear it is what it is. From what I know, people grow and that might have been who he was in the past. I can't speak for who he is now. Hopefully, this was then. He really is a great father to his kids. I don't want to make him out to be the bad guy. Again, the real story I wanted to tell is more about why I allowed these things to happen to me.

Interviewer: That's truly a blessing. In your book you say that your decision to change your patterns with abusive relationships had to do with your son, Tyran, and Egypt, your daughter with Treach. Did they ever witness the physical abuse and question you about it?

PEPA: No, never physical, but they were often present during yelling and screaming matches. People forget that verbal abuse is equally unhealthy. My kids used to see me crying and depressed all the time, and that can affect kids as well.

~Now I’m not trying to be rude because ya’ll know I serve it straight up. So lets be real… We all knew that he was beating her? That is not a shocker!!!!~
